History of Yamaha MotorcyclesYamaha Motorcycles was first born in 1953. The first Yamaha motorcycle model, the Yamaha YA-1, was released in 1954. In 1955 the factory was built and production started on the Yamaha YA-1. In 1956 the second model was ready for production. By the late 1960's Yamaha had proven itself as a leader in motorcycle manufacturing. The new corporate headquarters is in Cypress, California.
